Week ten fantasy football tips

Week ten fantasy football tips

Players to start this week:

QB Kirk Cousins (Washington Redskins)

While quarterback Kirk Cousins has struggled in recent weeks, I expect him to have a solid game this week. The Redskins face the New Orleans Saints, who have struggled defensively this year, as they have allowed 83 total points in the last two weeks. Kirk Cousins is not owned in the majority of fantasy football leagues, so he could be a good free agent pickup this week.

RB T.J. Yeldon (Jacksonville Jaguars)

Rookie running back T.J. Yeldon has had a solid rookie season, and I expect him to have another big game this week. The Jaguars face the Ravens’ defense, which has been weak due to injuries this season. Fantasy owners would be smart to try to trade for him, as he is owned in the majority of leagues.

RB James Starks (Green Bay Packers)

The Packers’ run game has been disappointing this season, as Eddie Lacy was well-regarded as one of the best running backs in football, but has underperformed. Lacy was benched this week and veteran James Starks will be the starter. I expect Starks to have a good fantasy game this week, as the Packers play against the Lions, who are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Starks is available in a good amount of leagues, so he could be a good pickup for owners needing a running back.

WR Michael Crabtree (Oakland Raiders)

While Michael Crabtree is not the main receiver for the Raiders, he will likely get the most receptions, as Amari Cooper is questionable and if he does play he will not get as many targets. I expect Crabtree to have a good fantasy game because he is the main receiver for the Raiders this week and they face the Vikings, who have an on and off defense.

Packers’ Defense

The Green Bay Packers’ defense has been shaky in the team’s last two games, as they are on a two-game losing streak and have allowed a total of 66 points in those games. However, I expect the Packers to have a turnaround game this week because they play the Detroit Lions, who are considered by many to have the worst offense in the NFL.

Players to sit this week:

QB Carson Palmer (Arizona Cardinals)

While veteran quarterback Carson Palmer has had a good turnaround season this year, this is not the week to start him in fantasy. The Cardinals face the Seattle Seahawks, who have arguably the best defensive secondary in the NFL. I expect Palmer to throw multiple interceptions in what I expect to be a low-scoring game.

RB Marshawn Lynch (Seattle Seahawks)

While Lynch has proven to be one of the best power running backs in the League, I expect him to have an uneventful game in week 10. The Seahawks face the Cardinals, who have a great run defense, which should force Seattle to pass more. When the Seahawks do choose to run, I expect Lynch to get the majority of the carries, but some of them will go to backup running back Fred Jackson. This should overall be a low-scoring affair in Seattle.

RB Doug Martin (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Running back Doug Martin has had a good turnaround season this year, but I would not start Martin in fantasy this week. The Bucs face the Cowboys, whose defense has been on and off this year, but I expect the defense to step up, as they lost last week to Philadelphia. The Cowboys will likely stop the run, forcing Jameis Winston to control most of the Buccaneers’ offense.

WR Jeremy Maclin (Kansas City Chiefs)

The Chiefs have struggled tremendously on offense this season, and I don’t expect that to change this week. The Chiefs face the Broncos, who have one of the best defenses in football despite last week’s loss to Indianapolis, which should stop the Chiefs’ offense from scoring more than 20 points. With the Broncos’ strong defense, the passing game should be less effective, leading to fewer receptions for Maclin.

Texans’ Defense

While the Texans were supposed to have one of the best defenses this year, they have really struggled. The Texans face the undefeated Bengals in week 10, and it should not be pretty for Houston. I expect quarterback Andy Dalton to pass for a good amount of yards and multiple touchdowns, which should secure the rout of the Texans.
