The Texas Association of Journalism Educators awarded the student media staff with 33 individual awards for efforts in the 2023 Veteran yearbook “Renew”.
Their top designation “Superior” was awarded to NSPA second runner-up Photojournalist of the Year Kaya Kinsey for her photo portfolio, as well as her individual Vision photo, and Aisha Rashid’s story about sophomore Kate Carvajal.
