Everyone knows that some of the best movies of the year come out in the summer and the winter, but every now and then there are interesting movies in between the two seasons. This fall, Hollywood is giving us quite a few movies to bridge the gap.

Starting off the fall movie line up is Contagion. The movie’s plot line follows Matt Damon’s character after his wife and son die from a new disease. Contagion is an extremely dark movie and is not for those you who prefer a happily ever after.

Warrior was released the same day as Contagion. Warrior stars Tom Hardy as a military man who comes back home to the U.S. He then decides to train with his retired Mixed Martial Arts fighting father to become the best MMA fighter out there, but conflict arises when he is forced to face his brother, a national MMA champion, in the finals. The movie is sure to be one of the better movies this season.

Next on the fall movie line up is the Disney digital 3D re-mastered version of The Lion King. The movie is only out for two weeks so see it while you can. Watching this movie will be like reliving your childhood by taking you back to your five year-old days filled with Disney movies. The movie releases on Blu-Ray next month.

Dolphin Tale was released last month and is the perfect movie to see with your family. Dolphin Tale tells the true story of the friendship between a boy and a dolphin that has lost its tail, staring Morgan Freeman.  If you are into the happy sentimental movies that will make you cry then this is for you.

Moneyball , which openened released  the same day as Dolphin Tale, is another true story film. Starring Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill, the movie follows Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane, when he is handicapped with the lowest salary constraint in baseball. If he ever wants to win the World Series, he must find a competitive advantage. Billy is about to turn baseball on its ear when he uses statistical data to analyze and place value on the players he picks for the team. It has already made $19.5 million in the box office.

Abduction, another movie that has just released, stars Taylor Lautner, who stars in the Twilight Saga, who sets out to uncover the truth about his life after finding his baby photo on a missing persons website. This thriller may have you on the edge of your seats, but then again it could just abduct your cash.

The fall movie line up starts to come to a close with the action movie Real Steel. Real Steel is basically Rocky minus Sylvester Stallone and then add Hugh Jackman and huge 2,000 pound humanoid robots in a boxing ring. It looks to be one of the more successful movies of the summer, since trailers have been airing in theaters since the beginning of the year.
