Continuing with tradition, the Legacies will be attending and performing in iDance for the seventh consecutive year. The annual fall show is set to be held at Leander High School in the Performing Arts Center on Oct. 1-2 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are being sold by the legacies and directors in the dance gym for $10.

“We usually have a camp in the summer with all of the teams, so when iDance rolls around, it’s kind of a reunion with all of the teams. It’s a healthy rivalry,” Legacies assistant director Kathryn Reeves said.

The show is a combination of all five Leander ISD high school drill teams : The Leander Bluebells, Cedar Park Celebrities, Vista Ridge Star Steppers, Rouse Royals and the Vandegrift Legacies. The motto is “five teams one stage.”

“The Legacies love getting to dance with all of the other teams and see what they’ve been working on,” junior Taylor Schmuelgen said.

There will also be performances from all of the middle schools in the district. Leander, Canyon Ridge, Four Points, Henry, Running Brushy, Stiles and Wiley Middle Schools will be preforming one dance.

“At the end of the show, there is a finale where all of the teams come out and do a kick routine. Each team has their own dances that they’ve worked hard on over the summer, its super fun,” sophomore Maddie Cook-Saunders said.
