Possibly the most anticipated movie for all of 2019 is Marvel’s last movie in it’s 22 film infinity saga, “Avengers: Endgame”. It has a stunning three hour and two minutes run time and features every character from past films. It is directed by the Russo brothers, Joe and Anthony, and stars many well known actors such as Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Brie Larson, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, etc.

There is no way to summarize this amazing plot without spoilers. “Endgame” gives the fans a perfect send off on this amazing 11 year journey. It makes you laugh, cry, sit at the edge of your seat, cheer as loud as you can (in your head of course). The film had a bit of everything and it couldn’t have been better. The Russo brothers have outdone themselves yet again and in my honest opinion I do not think there will ever be another superhero movie to ever come close to the things they had in “Endgame.” It was brilliant and it is exactly what you would want as a fan for the end of a long journey.

What stuck out to me is the Russo brothers attention to detail. They made many callbacks and references to old movies and they wrapped together some of the longest theories and ideas. I really liked how much of the comic book plot they used in the film. A lot of superhero movies try to tell a new story but the Russo brothers took an existing story and made it even better. How they got 22 movies to all interact and coexist all in one universe will forever baffle me.

SPOILER ALERT!

My favorite part of the film was seeing Cap finally wield mjolnir. Long time fans have been guessing it for years and to finally see Steve summon it was amazing. My least favorite part of the movie was seeing Thor the way he was. Yes, I understand that he is depressed and thinks it is his fault but he is the God of Thunder, you would think he would be able to zap all of that fat off. The most surprising part of the film was Black Widow sacrificing herself, not because she died, but because I was almost positive it would have been Hawkeye dying so that Natasha could finally move on with her life. The saddest part was Tony dying in the arms of Pepper after saving all of humanity (I know shocker). The way Tony had tried his very best to not have to be in the fight so he could live out the rest of his days with his daughter and wife only to have it end by saving everyone else.

I thought this movie was absolutely brilliant and will go down as the best superhero movie ever to be on screens. I rate “Endgame” a 10 out of 10.
