What club are you in?

I am in Robotics Club. We design and build hardware and make sure the hardware meets the needs for competition.

What position do you hold in this club?

I am part of the hardware team.

Why are you in this particular club?

Engineering is my passion and I like robots because there are a lot practical uses of robotics.

Why are you interested in this particular activity?

I’m in robotics club because it’s fun and I’m good at it. I love building things plus my dad is an engineer so it runs in the family.

How long have you been in this club?

Since I just started high school, this is my first year in the club but I am planning on being in this club throughout high school.

What are you looking forward to this year?

I’m looking forward to finally getting the robot built and testing it.

Does this club relate to what you want to do in the future?

Yes it does because I want to be a military weapons contractor. The future of military is in robotics.

How does this club impact your other school events/activities?

Robotics club does take up a lot of time that you would normally spend doing homework or other activities but it is well worth it.

How will this club impact your college resume?

I’m planning on going to either MIT or UT because those are top engineering schools. They have huge robotics programs so being on the robotics team for four years in high school will make it easier to get into the programs in college.

What is a fun fact about you?

I like playing with fire. I do competition shooting and I am actually training for a competition coming up in the next month or so.
