Prom is next weekend, and of course due to a busy schedule, you’ve waited until the last minute to purchase a dress for your special night out. Don’t worry, we have you covered. There are tons of dress trends and colors to pick from this year, from spring pastels to daring styles. He’re a list of hot prom trends that you cannot go wrong with:

Hi-low Hems: Hi-low hems reveal a soft and chic look. You can pull out a pair of dressy pumps hiding in the back of your closet, because they won’t be hidden under your dress anymore. The hi-low hem does is perfect for showing off your freshly-tanned legs without showing off too much skin.

Ombre: This trend began last year and has transitioned into this year as well. It’s the new tie-dye and has become a hot prom trend this year with dresses fading from bright, vibrant colors into softer, pastel shades.

Coral: Coral The perfect summer color and has become one of the biggest color trends for 2013. The coral trend is everywhere and it’s a perfect option for prom.

Mint: Mint is the new black. It is the perfect pastel for spring and early summer and does a great job at brightening your sun-kissed skin.

Metallics: Few accessories are needed when rocking a metallic gown. Shimmery metallic shades like black, silver, and gold are sure turn heads all night.

Cutouts: After working hard to stay in shape, cutouts can do a great job at showing off your skin and curves without making you feel too risqué. The many different cutouts include open backs, arms, and sides. When walking into the country club, you will be sure to steal tons of attention with a cutout dress.

Strapless: We all know that no one can go wrong with a strapless gown. After getting your tan on for weeks on end, you want to feel beautiful by showing off your shoulders and most importantly, showing off your face. By choosing a strapless dress, either short or long, you can feel elegant yet comfortable and still stay on trend.
