Three Viper students, Ethan Frederic, Priyunka Maheshwari and Hadley Sorsby-Jones have been named National Merit semifinalists. These students scored in the top 1% of over 1.5 million students in 22,000 different high schools in the country on the PSAT last October. These students will be competing in a final round this coming February.
Fifteen other students earned the National Merit Commended Scholars. This award is given to the people who scored the top 3% on the PSAT of the 1.5 million students last October as well. These students are: Hayden Anz, Denise Bui, Allison Carruthers, Chandler Colbeck, Natasha Desai, Laura Gama, Lauren Goulet, Katie Kupec, Brittany Le, Yongin Maeng, Lan Nguyen, Jake Reynolds, Maria Taylor, Hannah von Oldenburg and Haley Wightman.
