NXNW Restaurant Review

North by Northwest was a restaurant I had heard excellent things about for ages, so I finally decided to go and see it for myself. Located right off North Capitol of Texas Highway, NXNW has a large beautiful indoor seating with high ceilings, several fireplaces and lots of antique brewing machines inside. The restaurant also has a gorgeous outdoor patio for outdoor seating.

I went to NXNW for dinner and the first thing I noticed was the size of the restaurant. NXNW is huge and has lots of seating. The staff was really friendly and seemed to be very organized about seating arrangements.

Despite the large population of customers, it didn’t take very long for us to get seated and to have our order taken care of.

I ended up ordering the cedar plank salmon scampi dish. It was fabulous. I’m not really a big sea food person but I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. The creamy sauce that covered the linguine was so amazing.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the ginger ale that I ordered. The ginger flavor was really strong and I loved it. The ale seemed more carbonated than usual sodas and it tasted really crisp and fresh.

The portions were very large, I was able to take some of it in a to-go box. The prices overall are not too bad. They are a bit pricer than a casual diner but I think it is a fair price for the quality of the food, service and scenery.

NXNW is a great spot for a large gathering for dinner or lunch. With a location in both Northwest Austin and South Austin. I highly recommend it.
