Argyle Cactus makes a “spontaneous” debut

Much like their music, “Argyle Cactus” just kind of happened. In fact, the band came about exactly the same way as the name did: spontaneously– a word the band uses frequently. Four childhood friends and a love for music was all they needed to get started. First a band who played at home on the weekend to a respected band that plays public shows for all to see, crowds and fans alike.

“Our music kind of forms itself,” Seuthe said. “All of our parts just form until we like something we create. It’s mostly improvising.”

The band was formed in 2013 by vocalist and guitarist Devan Pitts, bassist Carter Seuthe, Guitarist Blake Rice and drummer Nick Jacobson. They will perform at the Carousel Lounge on June 13 from 5-6:30 and at Holy Mountain on June 21.
