The Lady Viper volleyball team is currently third in district and have been working hard to make it into the playoffs. The team travels to Dripping Springs after school for their last regular season match.

“We want to be the first team in this district to beat Dripping Springs,” head coach McCarter said. “They are currently undefeated in our district. We need to stay consistent and limit our errors in these last two matches in order to solidify a playoff spot.”

The team has been playing well together since August and are approaching their last district game. They hope to continue to play well together until the season ends.

“One of the things that I feel that the team is strongest at is that we have really strong hitters who know when and where to hit the ball,” junior Lexi Lopez said. “We also just have really good chemistry, which helps us in all aspects. We help each other out and know how to work together on the court.”

The team is currently 26-16 overall and 8-4 in district.

“One of the games that I am most proud of is the game against Vista Ridge,” senior Morgan Waggoner said. “We swept them in three games and I was really impressed with way we played as a team and we worked really hard and pulled out a win against a team we really needed to beat.”
