JV Lacrosse Ends their Season with a Bang

Kelly Honts, Web Editor

This Wednesday the JV girls lacrosse team ended their season with a bang by winning their final game 15-2.

“It was super exciting to end our season on such a high note,” freshman Yara Bates said. “We honestly improved so much over the year it’s crazy.”

The game was against Georgetown High School, one of Vandegrift’s biggest lacrosse rivals and the pressure was on because our Varsity team had already lost.

“I always feel like we have something to prove if varsity loses,” freshman Rachel Honts said. “I think it makes the whole team try harder.

The girls won 8 out of their 10 games this season, which is more than any previous Vandegrift lacrosse team ever has.

“I could not be more proud of JV,” varsity player Kimberly Morris said. “Each and everyone one of them has put in immense effort and deserved their victory.”

As for the varsity team they will be moving on to playoffs next Wednesday and would love your support.
