Volleyball Falls Short Against State Champions

The Lady Vipers varsity volleyball team took on the 2010 4A State champions on Tuesday, September 14th at Lake Travis.

The Vipers fought hard against the Cavaliers to rack up points but fell short in three consecutive games. The Vipers were defeated 25-10, 25-15 and 25-8, giving them a 20-10 record overall and a 0-2 record in district.

“We came out to a slow start but finished strong. We fought hard, but Lake Travis is a great team,” junior setter Emily Arterbury said.

Tonight, the Lady Vipers will attempt to improve on their district record as they take on Marble Falls at Marble Falls.

“We went 1 and 1 last year with Marble Falls, so we’re really excited to come out strong and bring home another win,” senior middle Kayla Chatlosh said.
