Recipe: How to make banana bread

A very healthy and delicious banana bread recipe perfect for a chilly day

This is a healthy banana bread recipe. It tastes so good and is so easy to make! It takes only around 1 hour and 15 minutes with prep and bake time. 


  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup of honey
  • ⅓ cup of extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • ¼ cup milk (any kind works!)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¾ cups of white whole wheat flour


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Butter a 9×5 loaf pan
  3. In a bowl, mix in the oil and honey. Add in the eggs, and mix with a whisk. Add bananas and milk. Whisk again.
  4. In the same bowl, add in the baking soda, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon; whisk all together. 
  5. Once mixed all together, pour into pan. Wait until it settles. (Tap pan against surface to get out air bubbles)
  6. Bake for 55 minutes. 
  7. Poke with a tooth pick to make sure it’s done
  8. Let cool for 15-20 minutes
