An “unbreakable” Netflix hit

Lauren Conroy, Staff Writer

If, like me, you’ve seen every single episode of The Office, then you remember the hilarity that came with Ellie Kemper’s spunk and naivety and you were disappointed when it was all over and you never got to see Erin Hannon again. Well, now all of your problems have been solved because she has been reincarnated as Kimmy Schmidt in the addicting Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Created by Tina Fey and starring memorable faces such as 30 Rock’s Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess and of course Kemper, herself, this show is hilarious. Upon watching it, you will literally find yourself laughing out loud.

The entire show is centered around Kimmy Schmidt. After being rescued from a doomsday cult and cut off from the entire world for several years, she decides to conquer the biggest city in the United States, New York City. She takes her very few belongings and decides to move in with a random man (Burgess) that she meets on the street. She then proceeds to find a job as a nanny for a bunch of stuck-up city kids that really turns into a therapist gig  for their emotional mother (Krakowski).

Kimmy Schmidt’s naivety and undeniable spunk genuinely make her “unbreakable.” I genuinely can’t decide what the best part is: the theme song that will be stuck in your head for hours, the hilarious cast  or the fact that the entire thing is on Netflix so you can binge watch all 13 episodes in one sitting.
