GPA rankings put pressure on students to reach the top 10% of their class. Students take countless AP classes just for the hope to increase their GPAs by mere tenths of a decimal. Within recent years, the school has switched from submitting quartiles to only posting class rankings for the top 10%, leaving the other 90% with no idea where they place. Leaving the majority unseen, the fight for the top becomes more competitive.
