Viperpalooza and spring football game takes place tonight

Viperpalooza takes place tonight at the Monroe Stadium complex from 5-9 p.m. It consists of a carnival that includes games, live student bands, and many different food vendors.

At 7:30, the varsity football team will play in their spring football game where the “arm-chair quarterback” parent calls different varsity players to play for the black team.

“I’m playing on the offensive line,” varsity player Karan Gowda said. ”I’m looking forward to playing with my buddies and having a good time.”

Juniors Jackson Moody, Emma Spasaro, and Max Hunter are some of the student performers singing Chasing Cars, All I Want, Hallelujah, High Hopes, Rivers and Roads, Saturn, with Riptide and Cough Syrup as their backup songs.

“I’m very excited to be playing for Viperpalooza,” Spasaro said, “I am hoping that it goes well and that people will like it.”

Throughout the night, the community will have access to a number of games including bungee jumping, and a bouncy house, with live performances from the Legacies, Marching Band, and Vision Dance Company. During half-time, past and current football dads’ will relive their “Glory Days” by scrimmaging in a flag football game.

“I’m looking forward to hanging out with my friends and seeing some good football,” Sophomore Jerome Bell said, “My favorite part is seeing everybody get together for the event.”
