A variety of C2 members will perform in a benefit concert on Thursday and Friday during PIT in the auditorium. The tickets are $5 and can be bought from juniors Hagen Goeters and Emma Spasaro. All of the proceeds will all go towards the Boot Campaign, which is an organization that raises money for military families by selling military boots and sponsoring events.

“The concert will be super awesome,” junior Emma Spasaro said.  “A lot of people have worked to put it together and I’m really excited to see how it turns out.”

Junior Emma Spasaro started the fundraiser because the talent show that was put on last year by C2 was cancelled and many students were upset. Spasaro and Goeters decided to do something else to raise money through C2 for the Boot Campaign.

“I decided to perform in the concert because it’s fun to sing and I enjoy it,” junior Jackson Moody said. “People should come to watch us perform and take into consideration that it’s for a good cause.”

Most students will be performing songs, both their own and well-known tunes, however junior Ashley Gallagher will be dancing. Some students will also be using instruments to compliment their performance. For example, junior Teghan Himelfarb will be performing her own song titled “Hazel Grace” with Moody, but the two will perform a cover of “Who You Are” by Jessie J with junior Alayna Thomas. Senior Emily Adams will be covering  Disturbia by Rihanna and Latch by Disclosure feat. Sam Smith, with Jack Hanna  accompanying her on the guitar.

“Being a part of the talent show was awesome last year and I hoped to do something similar this year,” Adams said. “The concert is for a great cause and its really fun to be able to do what I love with other people I care about.”
