The Legacies prepare for Saturday’s iDance performace.

On Saturday, November 6th, the Vandegrift Legacies will be performing at iDance in collaboration with the four other LISD high schools.

iDance, which has shows beginning at 1 PM and 7 PM, will be held at the Don Tew Performing Arts Center at Leander High School. iDance will showcase the Vandegrift Legacies along with the Leander Blue Belles, Cedar Park Celebrities, Vista Ridge Star Steppers, and Rouse Royals. LISD middle school dance teams will also participate in special performances.

“We’ve been practicing really hard every morning, while juggling band show and other dances,” Mrs. Lyons, dance team director, said.

iDance tickets are $10, and are available at the door or can be purchased in advance from any dance team member.

“The funds will be used for costume expenses and contest fees,” Mrs. Lyons said. “We hope to get as many students as possible to attend.”

In addition to iDance, the Legacies have been working hard for their fun upcoming events.

“On December 23rd at 8 PM, we will perform at Bass Concert Hall and be the opening act for the Radio City Rockettes,” Mrs. Lyons said.

The Vandegrift dance team encourages all students and their families to attend iDance and support the Legacies. With an approximately two hour show, iDance is a big event for the fall dance season.

“Students get to see not only the Legacies, but the other four high school teams as well. It’s a fun thing for the fall,” Mrs. Lyons said.
