DECA recently had a practice competition last Saturday to prepare for their upcoming competition this Saturday.

“It went great,” Lindsay Kalb, the DECA advisor, said. “Everyone was and here and got a lot out of it. It was very productive.

The members came together to create their own business plans, such as marketing or hospitality, and were given role play scenarios to solve on their own. After presenting their business plans and scenario solutions to the judges, they were given their scores.

“I do professional selling,” Julia Hu said. “My favorite part was definitely hanging out with the other officers.”

As a result, DECA has practiced well in order to do better this Saturday.

“I definitely had fun,” Emily Gruner said. “At state, you to meet a lot of new people and you get to do a lot of new activities.”
