French National Honor Society honored the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Paris by decorating a hallway by the French classroom with a trending hashtag from twitter. #JESUISCHARLIE

“I didn’t have enough class time to let all my students make the posters, and the kids in the clubs are a lot more serious about French and what’s going over there,” French teacher Kelly Simon said.

The students from FNHS used PIT time to meet and hang a handmade poster as well as colored Christmas lights that they pooled their money together to get. Not all students were required to participate.

“I think it was a real tragedy what happened over there and I think we need to show our support as well as practice free speech,” junior Jules Bettler said.
