White chocolate macadamia nut cookies

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies are a family favorite. They are chewy, not too sweet, absolutely delicious, and extremely easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cups Gold Medal™ white whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 package (6 oz) white chocolate baking bars, cut into 1/4 to 1/2-inch chunks
- 1 jar (3 oz) macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped (about 3/4 cup)
Procedure:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla and egg with an electric mixer.
- Stir in flour, baking soda and salt.
- Fold in white chocolate chunks and nuts.
- Knead using a dough hook or your hands.
- Shape dough into 1 ½ inch balls. Place balls on cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 11 to 13 minutes or until light brown.
- Cool for a few minutes before taking them off of the cookie sheet.
