The Creative and Imaginative Writing class are currently writing short stories that explore a variety themes and styles. Jessica Stamp teaches the course and has also participated in the workshop-style writing to model the process to students. While most of the 15 enrolled students prefer the fantasy or dystopian genres, Stamp and senior Edie Reddoch prefer romance.
“[The theme for my short story is] friendship [and] platonic love,” Reddoch said.
The students will finish their rough drafts, peer edit, and then will submit their final stories with artwork, photography, or other visuals to create a miniature literary magazine that they either create themselves or commission.
