Restaurant Spotlight: Vert’s Berlin-Inspired Kebaps

Kelly Rosenblatt, Editor in Chief

A cross between a panini and a Greek gyro, Vert’s Berlin kebaps are a delicious and healthy lunch option that you can quickly grab when you’re on the go. Vert’s has seven Austin locations, with one conveniently located at the shopping center on the corner of 620 and Anderson Mill, right next to Torchys Tacos.

Although the Berlin-inspired kebaps are their best sellers, Vert’s also offers wraps and bowls. All three options are made of your choice of meat, lamb, beef, or chicken, a variety of veggies and your choice of sauce. There is also a vegan option without meat or dairy.

Upon my first visit to Vert’s, I ordered a chicken kebap with lettuce, corn, cabbage, cucumber and their creamy garlic sauce. I was very impressed with how tender their meat was and I liked how the Döner Kebap bread didn’t get soggy from all of the ingredients. There are two sizes, the snack size and the regular size. I ordered the snack size, and I’m glad I did because the snack size is unexpectedly large and a substantial amount of food for lunch.

If you’re looking for a healthy and filling lunch with lots of flavour, try Vert’s Berlin kebaps.
