The Little Legacies Take the Field

The Legacies and their booster club sponsor the Little Legacies, an annual tradition that began in 2009 that allows elementary school girls to experience what it’s like to be a Legacy during homecoming.

This year, the Little Legacies were given a mum and a blue t-shirt before the game, and were paired with a Legacy team member. They walked on to the field and stood in line with the Legacies to cheer on the football team as they came through the tunnel. After that, the Little Legacies stayed with their Legacy member for the rest of the first half and helped them cheer whenever possible, during the half time show, the girls watched the Legacies and then watched the rest of the game with their family.

“I believe the little girls look up to the Legacies and enjoy spending more one on one time during this homecoming experience,” booster club president Michele Roach said.

This event, along with many others, is another way the booster club raises money needed for all of the different Legacy events.

“The clinics we do in the fall and spring are fun and informative but this homecoming experience is something special,” Roach said. “I am very glad we do it and believe the girls enjoy it too.”
