Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Fisher

•Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m married with 3 kids (one went to UT and the other two went to A&M), so we are a house divided. I’m form Victoria, Texas, which is a small town and I’m surprised how many of my students have relatives from there.
•What made you decide to teach Geometry?
I’ve always loved math. I tutored my friend in high school and college for math. I decided to get my teacher’s certificate for math and computer science.
•What is your favorite party about being a teacher at Vandegrift?
I like the students and faculty. I enjoy the spirit our school has and the friendly atmosphere.
•What should students who have you expect for the year?
I hope they will learn to see how geometry is used all around them when they go visit places.
•What is one fun fact about you?
I’m an Aggie/Longhorn. I graduated from A&M and am going to UT for grad school.
