City of Heavenly Fire Book Review

The Mortal Instruments series comes to its conclusion in the just released novel, City of Heavenly Fire. This book continues to follow Jace, Clary, Isabelle and Alec as they fight against Sebastian. However, this time Sebastian is not working alone and Clary realizes that a more dangerous enemy lurks. In addition to the main plot, a new subplot is introduced featuring Emma Carstairs, a young orphan.

This book is fast-paced and engaging. If you are a fan of the rest of the series you should read this book. My only complaint is that the book might be a little too fast; there were parts of it that  I thought could’ve been elaborated on more. For those readers that are worried about another Allegiant, don’t worry. City of Heavenly Fire has its fair share of character deaths, but overall nothing too soul crushing.
