Robotics to attend super regionals

Robotics members have won their previous regionals from last weekend and now three of the teams will be moving onto the super regionals March 9-11.

“I think our chances are pretty good,” head of robotics, Gaelen Goodreau said. “They are all strong teams and it’ll be a good competition.”

After all five teams participated in the last regionals, three of them qualified to advance. Two of those three won the overall championship while the one other team made second place. As a result, the teams won the Control Award.

“It’s something no one on our team has done before,” sophomore Sami Mulpuri from team 6209 Venom said. “It’s especially special for us because we’re part of the winning alliance and we got the Control Award.”

The super regionals will be a week before spring break, which will hopefully be a rewarding week for the teams once they participate.

“I’m super happy,” junior Nidhi Pandya from the same team said. “We worked really hard and we’ve gone through a lot of different designs on our robot. It’s really nice to see that this one worked.”
